| ARTIST STATEMENT |
I love the landscape because of its
endless beauty and visual variety. It
is exciting and mysterious to me.
Much of my work is about capturing
fleeting qualities such as light,
weather, atmosphere and time of
day. I also explore the abstract
elements of nature, such as color,
pattern, line and shape.
I am connected spiritually to nature;
it gives me comfort, hope and joy. I
am drawn to the landscape
because it reflects my life: its
ever-changing quality; lightness and
darkness; boldness and quiet;
beginnings and endings.
